Ration Card is amongst one of the most important documents for every Indian households, these cards are issued by State governments. They serve as a common form of identification for many Indian. You can also use it while applying for other cards like PAN Card, Aadhar Card, and Passport, for getting a new LPG connection. Moreover, you can use Ration Card for getting new Landline or SIM cards across all states in the country as well.

Blue/Pink/Red Ration Card:

For households living below the poverty line, this card can be of different colour depending on the state or union territory that the family lives in.

Pink Ration Card:

This card is issued to households whose total annual income falls above the poverty line.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana Card:

Issued to India’s poorest families and those who do not have a stable source of income.

White Ration Card:

This card is issued to families who are not economically stable and do not require subsidized products and services. They do not enjoy the benefits like other groups.

Different States may use different colours according to the financial status of the household i.e. BPL and APL.

  • Voter ID card of Election Commission.

  • Rent receipt
  • Recent month Electricity bill
  • Photocopy of Present electoral list
  • Aadhar card
  • House Tax Receipt
  • Recent water supply bill
  • Any other Proof or Certificate of Residence
  • Rent Agreement
  • Sales deed (registered)
  • Recent Telephone bill(Govt Company)
  • Bank Passbook.
  • NOC from a landlord/House Owner with Photo ID
